A benefit celebrating five years of legal, research, and policy support for organizing.

Join us at the Manny Cantor Center rooftop for an evening of food, drinks, music, and community connection as we look back on our first five years and ahead to the future.

In 2024, TakeRoot Justice celebrates five years as an independent organization providing legal, participatory research, and policy support to strengthen the work of grassroots and community-based groups in New York City to dismantle racial, economic, and social oppression.

This benefit dinner allows us to honor our incredible partners, while raising vital funds to support our programs through ticket sales, sponsorship, and donations. Attendees often include lawyers, activists, philanthropists, partner groups, organizers, community members, and more, all dedicated to dismantling racial, economic, and social oppression.

Honoring:
  • Aura Mejia, Community Leader Award
  • Michael Taubenfeld, Esq, Workers’ Rights Champion
  • Black Alliance for Just Immigration (BAJI)

We looking forward to celebrating with you!
