This
time of year isn't just for the holidays, it's a season of solidarity, a
reminder of our interdependence, and how much is possible when we work together
with a commitment to justice. Solidarity is not just a feeling of connection
and empathy, but a call to act. TakeRoot Justice brings legal, policy and
research support to grassroots organizers across the city. These are actions of
“standing with” and not “giving to”. Solidarity recognizes the ways we can all
contribute to the changed world we seek - with funding, time,
and talents.
TakeRoot Justice provides legal, participatory research and policy support to strengthen the work of grassroots and community-based groups in New York City to dismantle racial, economic and social oppression.
Following 18 years of impact as Community Development Project of the Urban Justice Center, TakeRoot Justice launched as an independent 501(c) organization in July 2019. TakeRoot will receive all tax deductible donations from this campaign.
